When Torch Boosters are used in an environment where ambient temperature is consistently above 90F / 32C, where the duty cycle is more than 16 hours per day or where the application requires outlet pressure greater than 60 psi, a Heavy Duty Torch Booster is recommended.


Heavy Duty Torch Boosters add a Cooler Module that keeps the compressor temperature low, extends system life span and eliminates the 3 hour cool down cycle that is common with Standard Duty units.


C Series Heavy Duty Torch Boosters are for applications where gas pressure is up to 60 psi, the unit will be located in a place where ambient temperature is consistently above 90F / 32C or the working duty cycle is 16 to 24 hours every day.


H Series Heavy Duty Torch Boosters are for applications where gas pressure is more than 60 psi regardless of ambient temperature or duty cycle. TB-250H Torch Boosters provide up to 250 cf/hr at up to 150 psi; TB-500H Torch Boosters provide up to 500 cf/hr at up to 150 psi and are used for High Velocity Oxy-Fuel Thermal Spray applications.


The Compressor Cooler Module is connected to the Torch Booster with 5’ flexible hoses. Power is provided by the Torch Booster - power and compressor controls on the Torch Booster operate both units. The Cooler Module can be stacked on top of the Torch Booster module if footprint space is tight.

TB-500C and H Torch Boosters modify Standard Duty TB-500 Torch Boosters to add a Cooler Module.


TB-500C Torch Boosters are suitable for pressures up to 60 psi, TB-500H Torch Boosters are for applications between 60-150 psi including HVOF. Gas low rate is 500 cubic feet per hour.


These Torch Boosters use 2 sets of flexible hoses that connect the Booster to the Cooler. Pumps in the Cooler Module cycle compressor oil into the Cooler, remove excess heat then return the oil to the Torch Booster. Electrical power is slaved from the Torch Booster and the Cooler Module starts when the Torch Booster starts. Both cabinets measure 28” wide, 24” deep and 20” tall. The Cooler Module weighs 157 pounds and can be stacked on top of the Torch Booster to minimize footprint space.

Electric service is 208V single phase 30 amp 60 Hz in North America or 230V single phase 30 amp 50 Hz worldwide. Low pressure supply pipe must be at least 1 1/2” diameter.

TB-250C and H Torch Boosters modify Standard Duty TB-250 Torch Boosters to add a Cooler Module.


TB-250C Torch Boosters are suitable for pressures up to 60 psi; TB-250H Torch Boosters are suitable for applications between 60-150 psi. Flow rate is 300 cubic feet per hour.


These Torch Boosters use a set of flexible hoses that connect the Booster to the Cooler. A pump in the Cooler Module cycles oil between the Booster and the Cooler to remove excess heat from the Booster. Electrical power is slaved from the Torch Booster and the Cooler Module starts when the Torch Booster starts. The Booster cabinets measure 28” wide, 24” deep and 20” tall. The Cooler Module is 20” wide, 18” deep and 16” tall, weighs 107 pounds and can be stacked on top of the Torch Booster to minimize footprint space. Electric service is 208V single phase 30 amp 60 Hz in North America or 230V single phase 30 amp 50 Hz worldwide. Low pressure supply pipe must be at least 1 1/2” diameter.

Heavy Duty Torch Boosters for challenging operating environments

TB-125C Torch Boosters modify Standard Duty TB-125 Torch Boosters to add a Cooler Module. Outlet pressure is up to 25 psi with a flow rate of 150 cubic feet per hour.


TB-125C Torch Booster uses two cabinets, each measuring 20” wide, 18” deep and 16” tall. The Cooler Module weighs 105 lb and can be stacked on top of the Torch Booster module. Power requirement is 120V 20 amp. Low pressure supply pipe should be minimum 1” diameter.


A single set of control buttons, power/start/stop, on the Booster Module (right) also operate the Cooler Module (left). Once started no operator attention is required - the Booster will automatically adjust to flow demand of the application.
