TB-250 for gas flow up to 300 scfh / TB-500 up to 500 scfh
TB-250/TB-500 Natural Gas Torch Booster Description
TB-250 and TB-500Torch Boosters raise standard utility natural gas pressure, often as low as 1/4 psi (7"WC) as high as 45 psi with a flow rate of either 300 cfh 300,000 BTU) or 500 cfh (500,000 BTU). With higher utility supply pressure greater flow rates are possible.
A Torch Booster is easy to use, just turn it on and get all the gas flow you need. When your torch or burner is lit the Torch Booster provides gas, when the torch or burner is not lit the Torch Booster puts itself into recirculation mode. TB-250 and TB-500 Torch Boosters are ready to use as soon as they are turned on - there are no storage tanks to fill and the Booster does not store any gas. They boost pressure and supply gas to the application as gas is used. The only controls are ON and OFF - the Torch Booster automatically adjusts to the gas flow demand of your torch or burner.
TB-250 and TB-500 Torch Boosters elevate city gas pressure as high as 45 psi. If you are using pressure higher than 45 psi, if ambient temperature is consistently greater than 90F or if your production cycle is around the clock you should consider Heavy Duty TB-250C, TB-250H and TB-500C Torch Boosters. These Torch Booster incorporate an adjunct Cooler Module. Click here for more information about Heavy Duty Torch Boosters.
Typical Applications For Natural Gas Torch Boosters
Typical applications for the TB-250 Torch Booster include up to 6 standard flame cutting or brazing torches, up to 4 Messer brand cutting torches, 3 Shrinkfast Model 975 Heat Tools or 2 Model 998 Heat Tools, 2 Ripack Heat Tools (Model 200, 2200, 3000), NC Tool Forge with up to 8 burners or a Belchfire Mono torch.
Typical applications for the TB-500 Torch Booster include fueling up to 12 common flame cutting or brazing torches, up to 8 Messer brand cutting torches, NC Tool Forges with up to 12 burners, 5 Shrinkfast Model 975 or 3 Model 998 Heat Tools, 4 Ripack Model 2000/2200/ 3000 Heat Tools, up to 8 ham glazing torches or 1 Belchfire Mono torch.
TB-250 and TB-500 Torch Boosters can fuel many other applications where the gas flow requirement is up to 500 cf/hr (500,000 BTU). Contact G-TEC with more information about your natural gas requirements and let us recommend the right unit for your application.
Technical Description and Installation
TB-250 and TB-500 Torch Boosters are designed and manufactured to international standards and are permitted in buildings where gases in cylinders, such as propane and acetylene, are prohibited.
Utility supply gas pressure can range between 3.5" WC and 5 psi. The building gas supply pipe should be at least 1 1/2" diameter and come as close to the Booster as possible where it reduces to a 3/4" connecting pipe. G-TEC supplies a shut-off valve
In North America the power requirement is 208 V 30 amp single phase. Internationally TB-250 and TB-500 Torch Boosters are available in 230V 50 Hz configurations.

The TB-250 and TB-500 cabinet measures 28" wide and 20" tall on the front panel and is 24" deep. TB-250 weighs about 175 pounds; TB-500 weighs about 285 pounds.
Scheduled maintenance includes changing a filter drier and two check valves every 2,000 hours of operation.
G-TEC Torch Boosters are quiet, compact and normally installed right in the area where high pressure natural gas will be used without special site preparation.
